FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes excitation of electromagnetic waves in the waveguide, placement of the controlled liquid in the electromagnetic field of one of the end portions of the waveguide and an identical liquid with a reference value of the measured physical properties of the liquid in the electromagnetic field of the other end portion of the waveguide. In the waveguide, electromagnetic waves of fixed frequency are excited at one of its ends, the frequency of the excited electromagnetic waves is chosen below the critical frequency of the waveguide, electromagnetic waves are received after their propagation along the waveguide at the other end of the waveguide and the amplitude of the electric field strength is measured, over which the physical properties of the liquid are judged.

EFFECT: expanding the functionality of the method, increasing its reliability and stability of measurements.
