FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, namely, to a waveguide resonator, in which determination of physical properties of dielectric liquid is carried out. Excitation of electromagnetic waves is carried out in a central part of the waveguide having identical parts of its cavity relatively to an excitation point of electromagnetic waves, with identical placement in them of corresponding controllable and reference liquids, electromagnetic signals are received at ends of the waveguide after their distribution along corresponding sections of the waveguide, values of an amplitude of electromagnetic field strength are measured at each end of the waveguide, and, by the difference of values of received signals E2-E1, where E2 is an amplitude value for controllable liquid, E1 is an amplitude value for reference liquid, dielectric permeability of liquid under study is determined.
EFFECT: expansion of functional capabilities of a measurement method, while saving the accuracy of measurements.
