SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measuring technology and can be used for high-precision determination of the physical properties (density, concentration of mixtures, moisture content, etc.) of various dielectric liquids located in containers (process tanks, measuring cells, etc.). The expected result is achieved by the fact that in a device for measuring the physical properties of a dielectric liquid containing a waveguide with a controlled liquid placed in the electromagnetic field of the waveguide from one of its end sections and from another end section of the waveguide identically placed with the same liquid with the reference value of its measured physical property, a generator of electromagnetic oscillations of a fixed frequency that is lower than the critical frequency of the waveguide connected to the waveguide at one of its end sections through the first communication element, and on the other end section of the waveguide, a detector is connected to it through the second communication element, to the output of which an electric field amplitude recorder is connected, the waveguide is made in the form of a coaxial waveguide, and the fixed frequency of the generator is selected lower than the critical frequency of the coaxial waveguide for the lowest type of waves H11 in the coaxial waveguide.

EFFECT: simplification of the design of the device for measuring the physical properties of a liquid.
