Fossa area, fossa volume, excavation rim area and volume and ratio of excavation area to optic nerve disk area are taken as diagnostic criteria. Fossa area being equal to 0.09 sq.mm, fossa volume being greater than 0.07 sq.mm, rim area being less than 2.5 sq.mm, rim volume being less than 0.5 cu.mm, ratio of excavation area to optic nerve disk area being greater than 0.1, stagnating optic nerve disk case is to be diagnosed. The same values are equal to 0.07 sq.mm, 0.05 cu.mm, 2.3 sq.mm, 0.36 cu.mm and 0.07, optic nerve disk drusen case is to be diagnosed. EFFECT: high accuracy of diagnosis.
