FIELD: electromagnetic separation of finely divided minerals in dry powdered product for concentration. SUBSTANCE: electromagnetic separator includes magnetic system in the form of two solenoids that may create magnetic field, feeder, receiver of separation products, impeller and two additional electric current windings having a row of mutually superimposed windings with the same number of turns. Each windings has size increased along its horizontal axis and equal to distance between adjacent slits of pole tips and its one side is placed in said slit. Its other side is placed behind edge of pole tip in zone of discharging magnetic product. Number of windings corresponds to number of slits spaced by the same interval along the whole length of pole tips. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of separating finely divided magnetic and non-magnetic materials. 2 dwg
