FIELD: magnetic separation of mineral mixtures at high degree of selectivity for concentration purposes. SUBSTANCE: proposed magnetic separator includes non-magnetic revolving drum, magnetic system located inside drum for creation of pulsed magnetic field, feeder and receiver for products of separation. Magnetic system is made from permanent magnets for their rotation at varying frequency near inner surface of drum and axes of rotation parallel to axis of rotation of drum for change of angles between vertical line and radius vectors to axes of rotation of magnets. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of breaking magnetic conglomerates and strands; enhanced selectivity of separation; reduced power requirements. 1 dwg
