FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: invention specifically refers to preventive measures used to diminish probability of blasts of dust-gas-air mixture in worked-put space and workings in coal mines adjacent to it. Process consists in periodic feed of stable foam into worked-out space behind powered support. Isolating bands of stable foam are formed behind powered support in worked-out space with distance Lst between them found from mathematical expression Lst = 0,5•Lmr (m); minimal width of bands being Lb≥2•mt.t(m); where Lmr is step of roof caving, m; mt.t is treated thickness of coal seam, m. EFFECT: diminished probability of gas blasts and improved control over air leaks into worked-out space. 2 dwg
