DEVICE FOR CLEANING OF EXTERNAL CYLINDRICAL SURFACES Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering and metallurgy, more specifically, cleaning of articles; applicable in removal of scale, rust, oil paint coating from article cylindrical surfaces. SUBSTANCE: device has driven mandrel coaxially connected to disc body with spring-loaded cutting members. Each cutting member is attached to end of separate holder which is installed for possible angular inclination in radial plane and movement in direction parallel to body symmetry axis. Separate holder is installed in through hole of ball-and-socket joint mounted on device body. Installed on holder stank is slider engageable with shaped recess made in device body, and compression spring whose one end is attached to device body. Technical result of invention consists in increase of relative mobility of cutting members, precisely, increased accuracy in relief following of worked surface that allows qualitative and more accurate cleaning of cylindrical surfaces and proper cleaning of irregular surfaces of parts having defective layers, weld seams, hollows, etc. EFFECT: improved efficiency. 1 dwg
