The ultrasonic generator provides the signal for exciting the ultrasonic vibration to be modulated in amplitude and frequency and perpendicular to the basic cutting edge of the drill. The angle defined by the hole axis in the wave guide for guiding tool and cutting tool is equal to one fourth of the angle at the drill top.
