FIELD: technological processes in machine engineering, deep peripheral grinding of material having tendency for flaw occurring such as burnouts and microcracking, namely grinding parts at controlling heat flux directed to part. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of imparting rotation and feed motion along ground surface to blank and tool in the form of grinding discs with working layer axially shifted in feed direction. Tool includes three grinding discs. Mean of said three discs rolls out ground surface in circular direction. EFFECT: enhanced strength of tool, enhanced efficiency and quality of grinding, increased time period of burnout free operation of grinding disc due to lowered thermal stresses in ground zone. 2 cl, 2 dwg, 1 ex
