ROLLING STAND Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: rolled stock production, namely constructions of rolling stands used for making rolled bars, mainly shaped high-accuracy sections. SUBSTANCE: rolling stand includes frames mutually joined and forming housing for arranging chocks in which two pairs of mutually normal rolling rolls are mounted in such a way that their axes are placed in different planes and spaced one from another. Each chock is mounted with possibility of rotation around axle passing through its one side and connecting it with housing. Screwdown mechanism is mounted on other side of chock; said mechanism engages with housing and with balancing mechanism rigidly joined with chock with possibility of resting upon housing. Contour of outer side of lateral surface of chock in its portion turned inside stand has slope equal to 40-50 degrees. EFFECT: enhanced design of rolling stand allowing to simplify adjustment of technological parameters of rolling process. 2 cl, 2 dwg
