FIELD: magnetic separation; applicable in separation of magnetic and nonmagnetic materials such as ores, slags, etc, particularly, designs of magnetic systems of drum separators. SUBSTANCE: magnetic system includes permanent magnet unit with like poles facing drum surface and installed on yoke. Yoke is used in form of magnetic circuit made in form of cylinder with threaded ends and limiters for magnets forming angle between each other of 90-120 deg. Permanent magnets are horseshoe in shape and tightly fitted on magnetic circuit cylindrical part. Each threaded end is provided with adjusting fastening nut. Installed between nut and cylindrical part is separating nonmagnetic spacer. EFFECT: provided increase of magnetic field intensity up to 5000 Oe, and its variation with wide range depending on conditions of magnetic separation, simple and reliable design of magnetic system in operation and manufacture. 2 dwg
