FIELD: metallurgy, namely continuous casting of steels with different chemical content according to process "melting to melting" from steel casting ladles successively fed to plant for continuous steel casting. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of successively casting different chemical-content steels from steel casting ladles; successively changing steel casting ladles; supplying steel into intermediate ladle and further into molds; drawing ingots out of molds at variable speed; measuring length of cast ingots; cutting them by measured-length billets and determining chemical content of cast steel; at changing casting ladle, casting from steel being in intermediate ladle at least one measured-length billet at working drawing speed; determining quantity of steel remained in intermediate ladle; lowering speed of ingot drawing until value consisting 0.001 - 0.2 of working value; feeding steel from next steel casting ladle at flowrate consisting 2 - 6 working value; after filling intermediate ladle with steel until working level, increasing ingot drawing speed up to value consisting 1.0 -1.5 of its working value; decreasing steel flowrate from steel casting ladle until value consisting 0.1 -0.2 of working value; then casting at least one billet. Lowering of steel quantity in intermediate ladle may be realized "int" times while setting value "int" according to given relation int = Δm/Δk, where Δm - difference between contents of controlled element of cast steel from successively fed steel casting ladles,%; Δk - difference of contents of controlled elements of successively cast billets from steel casting ladle, %.
