METHOD FOR EXTRACTING MINED BLOCKS DURING SUBTERRANEOUS EXTRACTION OF BLIND ORE BODIES Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: method includes passing through preparatory excavations, preparation of compensating enclosure, after that boring of ore layer of mined block with bunches of wells, performing mass explosion and outletting of caved-in ore. Compensating enclosure is formed up to the level of boring horizon, upper part of blind ore layer above the enclosure is collapsed by detonating the charges, which are placed in vertical wells of different lengths bored from the boring horizon. Bottom portions of wells under the compensating enclosure are charged and exploded after letting some ore out of the enclosure. Well charges in bottom part are detonated consecutively, in bottom-up order, from each side of compensating enclosure. First to be detonated are charges, which are most close to upper part of enclosure. Then further charges are detonated up to ore body contour until naturally balanced dome is formed over compensating enclosure. Remaining charges are detonated during the mass explosion.
