FIELD: metallurgy; electric arc tilting furnaces. SUBSTANCE: proposed tilting furnace is provided with casing and portal of electrode hoisting and turning mechanism; electrodes are located on platform tilted by tilting mechanism; said platform has two swinging skids located at some distance relative to each other; each skid rolls over its own guide; furnace casing is mounted on first part of platform located between swinging skids and portal is mounted on second part of platform beyond swinging skids; parts of said platform are interconnected by mans of hinge and part of platform carrying the portal is supported by skid through additional swinging skid. Provision is made for synchronous inclination of this part with part of platform carrying the furnace casing. EFFECT: facilitated procedure of replacement of portal and/or furnace casing. 8 cl, 6 dwg
