FIELD: oil-and-gas industry; non-ferrous metallurgy; reduction of process sulfurous gas by natural gas. SUBSTANCE: proposed reactor has housing lined with refractory material and provided with holes for delivery and discharge of process gas and cylindrical chamber connected with housing and communicated with it through process gas supply hole; it is provided with tuyeres for delivery of reducing natural gas which are mounted in wall of chamber. Axis of reaction chamber is vertical. Reaction chamber is made in form of series of vertical cylindrical reaction sections at change of gas flow through 180 deg. Process gas supply hole is found in lower portion of first (in way of gas motion) section and provided with screen baffle turbulizing the flow and stabilizing combustion. Tuyeres are mounted at distance of 2-10 calibers before screen baffle located in process gas supply hole at angle of 0-20 deg. relative to it. Screen baffle is sunken inside reaction chamber. Tuyeres are mounted at angle of 30- 75 deg. relative to radius of chamber drawn to point of intersection of tuyere axis with inner surface of chamber.
