FIELD: production of ozone from oxygen and air; treatment of water; medicine. SUBSTANCE: ozone generator includes discharge chamber made in form of rectangular parallelepiped with stack of flat electrodes and dielectric plates for electrical barrier; ozone generator is also provided with inlet and outlet cavities. Outlet cavity is larger as compared with inlet one; inlet cavity is provided with metal shield at high electrical potential. Electrodes made in form of rectangular metal plates are so stacked that odd plates tightly adjoin one side of chamber and even plates adjoin other side of chamber; side are common buses of high and low voltages, respectively. Opposite sides of metal electrodes are insulated from common buses by means of dielectric rectangular inserts forming tight contact between high-voltage metal bus, metal electrode, dielectric insert and low-voltage metal bus.
