MECHANISM TO MOVE PALLETIZED CARRIER OF FLOW LINE FOR ASSEMBLING AND DISASSEMBLING RAIL TRACK SKELETONS Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: railway transport; mechanization of track facilities. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used at assembling, disassembling and repairing of sections of track skeletons on production bases of track machine stations. Proposed mechanism to move palletized carrier is made in form of drive endless chain with pushers for interaction with cross beams of palletized carrier arranged along palletized carrier at pitch corresponding to pitch of chain drive pushers. Each of two pull sprockets of chain is rigidly connected into unit with driven sprocket. Said sprockets, for alternate engagement in case of reversing of drive, are connected by chain drive with sprockets of drive sprocket unit mounted between units of pull and drive sprockets freely fitted on drive bushing. Each drive sprocket of unit is furnished with diametrically mounted retainers for interaction with diametrically mounted retainers of bushing. Each pusher is made in form of carriage consisting of two cheeks with rolls moving along guides and secured on chain symmetrically relative to its axis. Two rolls are installed at each side of chain along axes of chain links so that distance between rolls of each pair of rolls at each side of chain corresponds to chain pitch. Invention provides reversing of palletized carrier when rolling onto platform of transfer set and rolling off the platform, thus making endless chain drive pull sprockets driving one in turn.
