FIELD: extraction of ferromagnetic bodies from flow of non-magnetic material; food-processing and processing industries. SUBSTANCE: proposed separator includes precipitating magnetic system consisting of permanent magnets and units retaining settled ferromagnetic bodies. Said retaining unit is made in several versions depending on sizes of ferromagnetic bodies. According to first version, retaining unit is made in form of module of permanent magnets of alternating polarity in way of motion of product being separated. Said modules are secured on ferromagnetic plate located in plane deflected from plane passing over working surface of precipitating magnetic system at angle up to 90 deg. According to second version, retaining unit is made in form of ferromagnetic plate projecting beyond extreme module of permanent magnets in way of motion of product being separated.
