Abstract RU 2205700 C2

FIELD: magnetic separation of loose materials in food-processing, mining, chemical and other industries. SUBSTANCE: medium to be separated is fed to cooling chamber where it gets on rows of settling members which are individual in construction due to mounting magnetizing rods of different magnetic characteristics of magnets, geometric sizes and relative position of magnets and concentrators and number of settling members. Particles of admixture are entrapped and localized on surfaces of settling members in areas where concentrators having high gradient and intensity of magnetic field are located. Medium cleaned from admixtures is discharged from housing. Entrapped admixtures are removed from surfaces of settling members in the course of regeneration. To this end, magnetizing rods are withdrawn from settling chamber beyond housing into regeneration chamber. Device for removal of admixtures is shifted in regeneration chamber due to interaction with rod, thus opening the hole in settling chamber and making particles of admixtures move to regeneration chamber together with rod where they are cleaned off surface of settling member. After regeneration, magnetizing rods are placed in settling chamber and admixture removal device seals up chamber.
