FIELD: environment protection. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has water intake flare, discharge pipe positioned behind water intake flare, flow cutoff device located in discharge pipe and provided with inner through opening. Flow cutoff device is positioned for rotation about geometric axis extending perpendicular to flow direction. Air duct is built in discharge pipe behind flow cutoff device, which may be made in the form of, for example, sphere with internal cylindrical opening extending through its geometric center and may be fixed on two split axles projecting through discharge pipe wall. Impellers are mounted on ends of split axles beyond outer surface of discharge pipe. Apparatus may be used for aeration of high-velocity water flows, low-velocity river flows, as well as for aeration of water in lakes and other basins with even slightest water flow. EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved suction of water into aerator on rivers and basins with low-velocity flows. 3 cl, 2 dwg
