FIELD: heating.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to metallurgy, particularly to production of liquid metal in arc furnaces. The furnace is equipped with a three-throw pipe, tightly coupled with an outlet aperture for tapping of liquid metal out of a bath. Channels of the three-throw pipe are connected to each other to provide tapping of liquid metal out of the bath through the outlet aperture of the three-throw pipe; at that at a normal position of the furnace the longitudinal axes of at least the first and the second channels of the throws of the three-throw pipe are inclined against the horizontal plane, while the longitudinal axis of the first throw is inclined to a horizontal plane in the direction of a furnace roof.
EFFECT: allowing complete cutting off furnace slag from melted metal in the process of tapping it out the furnace bath.
