FIELD: ferrous metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises setting the face of the tuyere in the permanent contact with the liquid metal and supplying gas or gas and components that change the properties of the liquid metal through the axial through opening in the body of the tuyere. The chemical composition is affected by the chemical interaction and/or dissolving of the components in the liquid metal. The tuyere moves to compensate the tuyere material loss. The velocity of the movement of the tuyere is correlated with the rate of its interaction with the liquid metal.

EFFECT: reduced production time and energy consumption.
