FIELD: heat power engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed condensate trap is designed for removing condensate from heat consuming equipment. It can be used also as throttling device in aerodynamic and hydraulic systems. Condensate trap contains housing, plates with throttling holes installed in housing in direction of condensate flow also accommodating pack of plates and disks with holes installed between plates, without clearances, holes being located over circumference(s) or parts(s) of circumference and interconnected by slots to form common open circuit. Throttling holes in plates are aligned with of holes in disk. Disks are arranged in pack so that direction of flow of throttled agent (condensate through following disk is reverse of that in preceding disk. Holes in disks are located on concentric circumferences for circumferences with displaced center, or along spiral. Holes in disks are connected by slots, for instance, over line of circumference or part of circumference on which they are located, or tangentially to surface of their generatrices. Plates and disks are provided with dummy holes or slots for changing position of throttling holes in plates relative to holes in disks. Slots in disks can be straight-line, or curvilinear, for instance, made to arc. Pack of plates and disks is installed in housing in direction of condensate flow after plate or group of plates with throttling holes. Invention provides reduction of heat energy consumption of heat consuming equipment, reduced metal usage, facilitated adjustment to required parameters of heat consuming equipment.
