FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: the method deals with intraocular correction of aphakia after extracapsular extraction of cataract. IOL consists of optic part and plane haptic elements at variable strength. The length of haptic part exceeds the sizes of posterior leaf of lens' capsule. Area of the least strength of haptic elements is designed with several areas of variable strength to provide effect of their twisting and restore the volume of removed lens. Area of the least strength is far against IOL optic part for stretching lens' capsule in its equatorial area and has got the width providing steady tension of capsular bursa in anterior-posterior direction. The resent innovation enables to decrease the number of possible postoperative complications. EFFECT: higher efficiency of operation. 2 dwg
