FIELD: antibiotics, microbiology, biotechnology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method for preparing N-deacylated cephalosporins by enzymatic preparing their 7-acylated analogues. Method involves fermentation of penicillin- or cephalosporin-producing bacterial strain able to producing β-lactam and expression of acyltransferase and expandase activity and also, possibly, acetyltransferase and/or hydroxylase activity. Fermentation is carried out in the presence of precursor of side chain of the formula HOOC-X- COOH (values X are given in the invention claim) or its salt, ester or amide. After fermentation derivative of acyl-7-cephalosporin is extracted, deacylated and crystalline N-deacylated cephalosporin is extracted.
