FIELD: microbiology, genetic engineering, antibiotics. SUBSTANCE: phenylacetyl-7-aminodesacetoxycephalospore acid is prepared by fermentation of strain Penicillium chrysogenum transformed by expression vector containing expandase gene under control of transcription and translation regulators obtained from gene of fungal origin in cultural medium with addition of phenylacetic acid. Phenylacetyl-7-aminodesacetoxycephalospore acid isolated from fermentation medium is deacylated with formation of 7-aminodesacetoxycephalospore acid which is crystallized.
