FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: battery has auxiliary lead-out contacts along with main ones, each of them being electrically connected to respective main lead-out contact and secured on front or rear working edge of case symmetrically with respect to main lead-out contact of same polarity. Auxiliary lead-out contact is disposed either against respective main lead-out contact or along same line parallel to longitudinal axis of case (or on this axis). Such design enables user to disregard working edge the battery case oriented to when installing battery to power compartment of apparatus and in most cases to disregard angle of turn of battery case about its longitudinal axis.
