FIELD: medicine, cardiology. SUBSTANCE: it is necessary to carry out reactive hyperemia, cold and nitroglycerin samples for a patient. One should determine the level of nitrogen oxide metabolites in blood plasma. Vessels of peripheral and cerebral basins are studied. By original mathematical formulas one should calculate vasodilation index (VDI) VDI = d2-d1/NO2-NO1, vasoconstriction index (VCI) VCI = d3-d1/NO3-NO1, vascular reactivity index (VRI) VRI = d2-d1/d3-d1, nitroxydergistic reactivity index (NRI) NRI = NO2-NO1/NO3-NO1, coefficient of endothelial dysfunction CED = VRI/ NRI; conformity index CI of vasoconstriction = d3-d1 brachial artery/d3-d1 middle cerebral artery and CI of vasodilation = d4-d1 brachial artery/d4-d1 middle cerebral artery, where d1 and NO1 - initial diameter of artery and level of nitrogen oxide metabolites; d2 and NO2 - the like values after reactive gyperemia; d3 and NO3 - values after cold sample; d4 - diameter of artery after nitroglycerin sample. One should evaluate normal vasomotor function, either excessive or insufficient, with predominance of vasoconstriction or vasodilation, coordinated or interrupted. The present innovation enables to obtain accurate data on the presence and degree of vasomotor function disorders without application of expensive equipment, optimize well-known schemes of therapy in treating cardiovascular diseases in concrete patients.
