FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention concerns medicine, particularly functional diagnostics. Brachial artery is compressed during 5 minutes with increasing pressure at least by 50 mm Hg from initial systolic pressure in combination with nitroglycerine test. Herewith the motionless patient is pre-examined for systolic and diastolic luminal diametre by the method of compression three-dimensional oscillometry. A coefficient of deformation is calculated as a difference relation of systolic and diastolic luminal diameters to diastolic diametre. Then said relation is determined once 1 minute later, after compression is removed. The difference of the received indices is calculated, in case of positive reaction to nitroglycerine test, endothelium function is estimated as follows: positive value of the difference of the coefficient of deformation before and after compression shows normal function, and while zero or negative value indicates dysfunction.

EFFECT: method extends range of means for estimating endothelium-dependent vasodilatation of brachial artery with underlying reactive hyperaemia.
