FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: one should carry out extracapsular cataractous removal. Intracapsular ring is implanted into capsular sac. Ring should be pretreated with the layer of 5-fluouracil at 10-40 mcm thickness and that of steroid preparation or its mixture together with wide-spectrum antibiotic and/or with enzyme. On finishing implantation of ring one should carry out IOL implantation by indications. The present method enables to efficiently prevent the development of secondary cataract due to creating mechanical barrier for cellular migration, suppression of inflammatory reaction at gradual resolution of steroid substance, suppression of infectious processes due to antibiotic action of coating, resolving action due to inclusion of enzymatic preparations into coating's composition.
