FIELD: technology of decontamination of low-caloric waste gases of commercial carbon production process. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes mixing of air with fuel, ignition of this mixture and burning of it forming flow of high-temperature oxidizer followed by expansion of flow and tangential introduction of waste gases in this flow. Smoothly widening flow of high-temperature oxidizer is formed in zone of mixing fuel with air; velocity of this flow at initial section ranges from 50 to 200 m/s; velocity of tangential flow of waste gases ranges from 15 to 80 m/s. Reactor proposed for realization of this method includes fuel combustion chamber with axial burner, combustion chamber for gases to be decontaminated, mixing chamber and after-burner chamber mounted axially and in succession.
