FIELD: electrical engineering; stepless current switching in two-set converters. SUBSTANCE: method intended for current switching in two-set pulse-phase or pulse-width controlled converters jointly with controlling diode sets preventing flow of equalizing currents involves switching in two steps under action of voltage across plates of polar damping capacitor operating in double-ended energy exchange mode with inductive components of switching circuit. In order to prevent probable capacitor recharge delivery of control pulses to diodes of phase driven in operation in both sets is proposed to be delayed during first switching step. EFFECT: enhanced reliability due to preventing circuit capacitor discharge and recharge. 1 cl, 4 dwg
