FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: in superior segment of eyeball one should dissect conjunctival part. Tunnel-like scleral incision is made being 2 mm against limbus. Capsulorhexis and hydrodissection are conducted. One is trying to achieve rotation of lenticular nucleus. With the help of microspatula one should dislocate superior edge of lenticular nucleus into anterior chamber, install silicone plate between nucleus and posterior chamber. Then one should fracture the nucleus above the plate into two fragments due to ultrasound impact and turn these fragments for the angle of 90 deg. Phacofragmentation is fulfilled above the plate perpendicularly to the first fracture. Silicone plate should be removed. The present innovation enables to decrease traumaticity of eyeball's tissues due to developing mechanic protection against harmful ultrasound action. EFFECT: higher efficiency of protection. 1 ex
