METHOD OF MANUFACTURE OF LONG-CUT PROFILED ARTICLES FROM COMPOSITE MATERIALS AND DEVICE FOR REALIZATION OF THIS METHOD Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: reworking of plastics+ADs- continuous manufacture of profiled articles from composite materials. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes orientation of continuous reinforcing fibers, impregnation of cord with polymer binder, evacuation, molding article profile, hardening and extraction of finished articles. Subjected to evacuation is non-molded cord which is then additionally impregnated with binder. Used as binder is mixture of monomers with hardening agent not containing solvent. Device proposed for realization of this method includes bobbin holder with continuous reinforcing fiber, fiber orientation unit, dipping tank, at least one evacuation chamber, profile molding unit, hardening chamber and pulling mechanism. Evacuation chamber is mounted after dipping tank. Mounted after evacuation chamber are additional impregnating unit and profile molding unit.
