FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes heating of charge consisting of metal-containing component and carbon-containing component in induction channel-type furnace for reduction of metal-containing component; part of gaseous products is used for preheating charge. Charge is fed to induction furnace through at least one chamber having one or several channels passing around chamber. Gaseous products flow via one or several channels to chamber for preheating charge; one chamber or several chambers and one or several channels are isolated from each other to avoid penetration of gaseous products.
