FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a metallurgical furnace capable of operating with a wide range of raw materials and fuels, including those having high levels of impurities. Said metallurgical furnace contains upper vessel (1), lower vessel (2), and a fuel supply device, positioned substantially between said upper vessel (1) and lower vessel (2), and at least one row of clack valves (3, 4), located in at least one of said upper vessel (1) and lower vessel (2). Moreover, at least one row of clack valves (3, 4) provides for fluid communication of the internal space of the furnace with the external environment. Also, the furnace contains at least one burner (10) mounted on at least one of said upper vessel (1) and lower vessel (2). Moreover, above-mentioned burner (10) is installed on the clack valve of at least one row of clack valves (3, 4) mentioned. Moreover, said burner (10) contains central tube (12), through which fuel is introduced, and outer tube (14), which surrounds it and through which material that supports combustion passes.

EFFECT: invention provides intensive heat release due to the exothermic reactions that occur when combining the air injected into the clack valves with injected fuel that is burned in the burners.
