FIELD: continuous casting of melt metals through casting mold with top. SUBSTANCE: casting mold includes arranged successively (in direction of extracting cast metallic product) top made of heat insulation refractory material and used as reservoir for poured melt metal, cooled tubular metallic member for solidifying metal. Between top and metallic member there is slit for injection of displacing fluid such as Ar-gas emitted along inner lateral surface of casting mold. Slit for injection includes units for reducing gas flow in each angle of casting mold, preferably formed by means of partition members. EFFECT: lowered number or elimination of flaws along edges of solidified cast products. 6 cl, 3 dwg
