FIELD: video data transmission and presentation. SUBSTANCE: users can request and receive video data from central video-data transmission control station 2 with aid of communication terminal 4, in particular with aid of mobile communication terminal 4, through telecommunication network 3, in particular through mobile radio communication network 3. In the process image signals corresponding to video data received are projected onto user's retina 51 by means of special-purpose virtual display 41 at communication terminal 4. Current positions of user's eyes are determined in communication terminal 4 and transferred to central video-data control station 2. The latter has video data filtering module 22 designed for pre-transmission filtering of mentioned video data basing on data on current position of user's eyes so that outer areas of image corresponding to video data which are projected onto retina beyond retina recess 511 have lower resolving power than video data corresponding to inner areas of image which are projected onto recess 511 of retina 51.
