FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: procedure consists in off-pole treated gear engagement with tool and in de-burring and chamfering due to sliding side surfaces of tool teeth relative to side surfaces of teeth of processed gear. Also, as a tool there is used a two-rim straight bevel gear. On side surfaces of teeth there are made cutting edges. Rate of sliding in a contact point of a tooth profile of the treated cylinder gear relative to the profile of the tooth of the tool is set alternate, not equal to zero on an active section of an engagement line corresponding to working height of the tooth profile. After the tool performs number of rotations equal or multiple to number of teeth of the processed gear, direction of rotation of the tooth pair "tool-treated gear" is reversed to ensure similar conditions of cutting on opposite sides of gear teeth. There is performed cutting in by means of approach of axes of the tool and processed cylinder gear till there is formed a face of required geometrical dimensions to equalise conditions of treatment on entry and exit ends upon each run.
EFFECT: raised efficiency and upgraded quality of processing.
