FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: technique can be used to produce high-strength parts with elastic properties, little mass and good decorative appearance, for example, car bumpers. According to invention there is employed mould made of die and punch. Die is positioned horizontally with inclination towards operator so that maximal thickness of part is on operator's side. Shell assuming form of inner surface of die is prepared in advance from high-strength thermosoftening plastic or thermosetting material. Inner surface of shell is cleaned and activated, shell is put into die, foam-forming mixture is poured into internal space of shell along die surface in zone of maximal thickness of part. Die is closed with punch and is transferred to vertical position with location of zone of maximal thickness of part at the bottom. EFFECT: raised strength of parts. 1 dwg
