FIELD: manufacture of articles from composite carbon-carbon materials. SUBSTANCE: process is realized by preliminary formation of semifinished item from composite material which outer layers are made of metal sheet. Then semifinished item is heated in nonoxidizing atmosphere with simultaneous application of controlled load over entire surface of semifinished item up to complete melting of binding spacer and impregnation of cloth and carbon fiber with this melt. Load rate is adjusted in limits 1•10-4-1•10-3 c-1 to temperature 200 C and in temperature interval 200-700 C in limits 1•10-3-1•10-2 c-1. Nonoxidizing atmosphere is created by way of preliminary vacuum treatment due to artificial inleakage of inert gas. For implementation of process there is proposed gear which includes press of isothermic stamping with die block containing two dies, heat equalizing underdie plates with closed labyrinth cavities and heaters. EFFECT: enhanced productivity of process, diminished number of impregnation and carbonization operations with material, increased flexural strength and modulus of elasticity, diminished level of porosity, prevented formation of cracks in composite material. 3 cl, 4 dwg, 2 tbl
