FIELD: generation of steam; straight-flow steam generators. SUBSTANCE: proposed straight-flow steam generator includes combustion chamber with many burners located at height of horizontal gas duct after which vertical gas duct is included on side of flue gas. Enclosing walls of combustion chamber are made from vertical evaporating tubes connected together by gas-tight welding; arranged on side of fluid medium before these tubes is system of inlet collector and system of outlet collector is arranged after these tubes. Combustion chamber is so designed that quotient formed from steam-generating capacity M (indicated in kg/s) for many evaporating tubes loaded in parallel by fluid medium at full load and from sum A (indicated sq m) of areas in inner cross section of these evaporating tubes which are loaded in parallel with fluid medium is lesser than 1350 (indicated in kg/c sq m); inner surfaces of said evaporating tubes are provided with fins forming multi-start thread.
