FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydrometallurgy processing molybdenite- containing materials, in part, production waste. Method involves addition of iron- containing reagent as metallic iron to acid molybdenum-containing solution taken in the amount 50.0- 90.0% of required by stoichiometry ratio. Alkaline reagent is added after iron dissolving to pH = 2.9-5.0 and pulp is kept at stirring at 15-85 C at indicated pH index for 1-4 h followed by filtration, washing out and calcinations of molybdenum product at 650-800 C for 1-3 h. Invention provides reduction of consumption of iron-containing reagent, cost of molybdenite product, preparing stable composite of deposits and utilization of waste in manufacture.
