FIELD: fodder production. SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with manufacturing BAFA and BAFA-containing fodders for preventing iodine deficiency and optimization of iodine exchange. BAFA contains synthetic organic iodine-containing compound with covalently bound iodine taken out of the group of: carboxylic acids, unsaturated fatty acids, lipids, terpenes, alkanes, terpenoids, isoprenes, peptides, polypeptides, amino acids, protein hydrolyzates, polypeptide hydrolyzates, proteins of plant, animal and microbiological origin, mixtures of lipids and unsaturated fatty acids, mixtures of isoprenes and terpenes, mixtures of isoprenes and protein hydrolyzates, mixtures of isoprenes and unsaturated fatty acids, mixtures of proteins of animal, plant and microbiological origin, mixtures of proteins of plant and animal origin, mixtures of proteins of animal and microbiological origin, mixtures of proteins of plant and microbiological origin. Moreover, in proteins, peptides, polypeptides, amino acids, polypeptide and protein hydrolyzates iodine is covalently bound in 5 and 3 or in 3 position of phenolic cycle. Moreover, amino acids and proteins are taken out of group of amino acids and proteins of no thyroid activity and which are obtained under conditions excluding condensation of tyrosine nuclei. Additionally, BAFA contains organic compound with noncovalently bound iodine and/or inorganic iodine. BAFA may represent prolonged form as tablets, powders, capsules, microcapsules, lozenge, solutions, and solutions for injections, as well. BAFA may be a part of vitamin- mineral complexes, premixes, fodders or ready-to-use premix. The second object of the present innovation is fodder product which contains the above-mentioned BAFA for preventing iodine deficiency and optimization of iodine exchange in animals by any of the abovementioned combination. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 13 cl, 11 ex
