FIELD: application of coats. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes forming flow of carrier gas, introducing powder material in this flow and mixing it with carrier gas; this flow is accelerated in nozzle and required profile of flow is formed. Simultaneously, second flow of carrier gas is formed which is preheated and required profile is formed, after which it is accelerated in nozzle. Accelerated gas powder flow of required profile is applied on flow of carrier gas of required profile and total flow is directed to article. Device proposed for realization of this method includes compressed air source which is connected with preheating source by means of gas line. Mixing chamber is connected with powder proportioner-feeder. Inlet of mixing chamber is connected with intermediate nozzle. Nozzle unit is formed by two accelerating nozzles whose exit sections lie in one plane. Ejector attachment is mounted at nozzle unit outlet. Injector of each accelerating nozzle is located for rotation in subcritical part of nozzle. Injector of first accelerating nozzle is connected with outlet of mixing chamber by means of gas line and injector of second accelerating nozzle is connected with compressed air source through preheating unit.
