FIELD: production of carbon mineral materials; sorption technique, cleaning and drying of gases; metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes preparation of aqueous impregnating solution of mineral salt, application on porous carbon base, drying with air and spreading of finished product; semi-coke is used as base and barium carbonate is used as mineral salt; prior to introducing salt in water, starch is added; application of solution is performed at weight ratio of base to solution equal to (2.8-3.2):1.0; drying is effected at temperature of 140-250 C; weight ratio of components in impregnating solution is equal to 1.0 : (1.7-2.0) :(0.05-0.07).
