FIELD: ecology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ecology. Disclosed is a sorbent obtained based on coal from stone raw material. Method of producing sorbent involves preparing an impregnating solution by diluting a concentrated solution of iron salts and copper with distilled water, heated to 30–40 °C, at 0.340 kg/dm3 of ferric chloride and 0.06 kg/dm3 of copper sulphate. Active coal of 0.315–1.0 mm fraction is impregnated with prepared solution heated to 55–70 °C, while stirring for 10–15 minutes. Further, impregnated carbon is treated with sodium hydroxide solution to precipitate iron and copper compounds. Product is aged outside in 1.5–2.0 hours. Thermal treatment of the product in the fluidised bed furnace or in the rotary furnace at temperature of 120–145 °C for 40–70 minutes, providing moisture content in sorbent of not more than 3 wt. %.
EFFECT: technical result is improved sorption capacity of modified coal on toxic compounds of methyl fluorophosphonic acid, cyanides and arsenous compounds.
