FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: procedure for production of coal char consists in classification of source raw material corresponding to lignin or cello-lignin, in drying at temperature 75-90°C, in introduction of 1.0-1.3 wt % of phosphorous acid into crumbled source raw material during drying, in briquetting raw material under pressure 800-1400 kg/cm2, and in carbonisation of produced briquettes at temperature 450-500°C without access of oxygen.
EFFECT: coal char possesses high absorption property at extraction of oil from water as well as raised mechanic strength.
