FIELD: mechanical engineering; energy converters. SUBSTANCE: device is designed for converting mechanical rotation energy using compressed gas pressure into electric energy. Proposed converter has housing whose upper part is in communication with atmosphere and which is partially filled with liquid inside which rotor-drum is placed made in form of hollow cylinder with slots uniformly spaced over circumference, with radial partitions and open spaces between adjacent radial partitions forming nozzles to let out heated compressed gas. Ranke tube consisting of two hollow concentric cylinders plays the part of pneumatic system. Outer cylinder is provided with slot to let gas into nozzle. Rotor-drum on end face is provided with axle is connected with electric generator through reduction and step-up gear. Each radial partition on end section is connected through axle with rocking blade ion wing shape. Axle is provided with lever made for engagement with inner surface of support member made in form of hollow semicylinder whose ends are located in zone of vertical plane. Working spaces are arranged between ends of radial partitions and inner surface of rotor-drum. With converter operating, half of working spaces, whose total number should be not less than 8 is filled with liquid, and other half, with heated compressed gas which provides rotation of axle and operation of electric generator. Pneumohydraulic converter increases efficiency of conversion of mechanical energy into electric energy by more than 15%. EFFECT: increased efficiency of operation. 4 cl, 2 dwg
